Dogs feel most comfortable when the outside temperature is below 20°C / 68°F. We humans can sweat, but dogs wear their warm fur in both summer and winter. As the dog's most important cooling organ, the nose offers our four-legged friends too little cooling on summer days.
Dog crates are very often used in cars to secure dogs. Unfortunately, some of these keep the cooling from the car's air conditioning system away from the dog for the most part. A comparison with cheap, gel-based cooling mats clearly shows the superiority of cani.cool technology: after several hours, it is still up to 16°C (27°F) cooler when other mats have almost become hot.
Both colour variants are technologically identical and offer the same performance. In the instructions for the brown version (DOGGER), there is a typo regarding the number of possible reactivations: it should read 750 times instead of 150 times.
I had to wait quite a while for delivery because of various global issues, but it was absolutely worth it. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.
The mat is generously sized, well made, and has a clean, minimalist design. I only use it indoors. Summer has already arrived in Korea, and my black Shiba Inu has a thick double coat and doesn’t tolerate heat well, so our air conditioner runs 24/7 to keep the room at around 23–24°C (73–75°F). Under those conditions, the cooling effect lasted for about three days before I needed to re-soak it.
As the water evaporates, the edges of the mat curl up slightly, which is my only minor complaint. Other than that, the excellent build quality, simple design, and noticeable cooling performance make it an easy recommendation.
One small thing I’m still confused about: which side is supposed to face up? Is the black side (the cooler side) meant to be on top? 🤔

To answer your questions:
- The Mat should stop Curling after a while. Try to really press the water all over the corners but we are aware that they tend to curl a little.
- Both sides of the Mat have the same cooling effect. Howewer we recommend to keep the grey side up as it's more durable and more resistant over time.
Les matelas et le gilet refraîchissants sont vraiment très utiles et confortable pour mon bouledogue anglais de 6 mois. Lors de fortes chaleurs ils lui permettent de rester bien au frais et en sécurité en évitant un coup de chaud.
Super Kühlmatte. Hatte jahrelang die mit Gel die angeblich "selbstkühlend" sind aber nicht kühlen. Diese hier bringt enorme Abkühlung. Dachte zuerst sie funktioniert nicht, aber der Kundendienst erklärte mir den Zusammenhang mit der Luftfeuchtigkeit, die zu hoch war. Bei normaler Luftfeuchtigkeit kühlt sie tatsächlich fast 12 Grad runter. Mein Hovis liebt es
