Constant cooling
regardless of ambient conditions
Dogs are naturally more sensitive to heat.
USDA Certified – 100% Bio-Based PCM Technology – constant temperature of 21°C / 70°F or 29°C / 84°F
Dogs cool themselves mainly through panting. This requires significant energy and puts strain on the organism.
regardless of ambient conditions
And USDA certified
Reduces heat stress significantly
Works even in high humidity
Reduces the risk of moisture-related fungal growth
The canicool PCM vest uses advanced Bio-Based Phase Change Material (PCM) technology to protect your dog’s body against heat safely and efficiently — without moisture, without dripping, and without temperature shock by providing a constant temperature of 21°C / 70°F or 29°C / 84°F
Phase Change Materials (PCMs) absorb and release heat energy by freezing and melting at defined temperatures.
To understand why this is powerful, we need to distinguish between:
This is when a material warms up and its temperature increases.
Example: A glass of water in the sun gets warmer. The temperature rises continuously.
This is when a material changes phase (solid ↔ liquid) but keeps the same temperature during the process. Example: Ice melts at 0°C / 32°F and stays at 0°C / 32°F until completely melted.
That stable phase transition is where PCM becomes extremely effective.
When the ambient temperature rises above the PCM activation temperature:
As long as the material is in its active melting phase, it releases the same stable cooling temperature.
Phase Change Material (PCM) regulates temperature by absorbing and releasing latent heat during its phase transition. When the ambient temperature rises above 21°C / 70°F, the material begins to melt and absorbs excess heat while maintaining a stable temperature. As long as the melting process continues, the temperature remains constant.
When the surrounding temperature drops again, the PCM solidifies and releases the stored heat back to the environment. This cycle allows for reliable, controlled cooling without sudden temperature fluctuations.
1. Cool Until Solid Place the PCM packs in ice water (20 min), freezer (40 min), or refrigerator (60 min) until fully solid. The temperature must be at least 3°C / 5°F below the PCM activation temperature.
2. Check Firmness. Make sure the packs feel completely firm with no soft or liquid areas remaining.
3. Insert & Use. Place the solid packs into the vest pockets, secure them properly, and your dog is ready for stable, dry cooling.
✔ Constant cooling at 21°C / 70°F for approx. 1–3 hours
✔ Optional version at 29°C / 84°F for gentler cooling and longer lasting.
As soon as ambient temperature exceeds 21°C / 70°F, the packs begin regulating at their defined temperature. Below 20°C / 70°F, the PCM automatically reactivates.
To accelerate reactivation, simply place the packs in a refrigerator. The process can be repeated up to 100,000 times.
